So for the last 3 weeks our chickies have been in our main living area, placed right behind our couch. I was fine with this until a member raised a concern about the chicken dander getting on our couch - ick.
Our house is very small and finding a place to put their mansion of a brooder is limited.

I can move it to our cat room - I know that seems like torture but I assure you they are safe.
My concern is the dust from our litter boxes might be bad for them, you know how kitty litter dust floats everywhere and coats everything! What do you guys think?
I am fine leaving it where it is if cat litter dust is a concern, we steam clean the couch every year anyways so it’ll get done when the chicks move out!

I think if they're with the cats, it'll be a battle of dust and dander... you'll just get "more" of everything in there.

I mean if you're planning to clean the sofa anyhow, then I guess it's no big deal :) but just wanted to point it out so you didn't find out 5 or 6 weeks later that the reason the sofa looks a bit dingy is because of the darling little chicks right there!

Thanks Rose, I don’t think the chickies can do anymore damage to the couch than the cats or the dogs do anyhow lol it’s basically a stationary napkin for drippy lips now!
I did think about your concerns though - thank you! I’ll just plan on cleaning the couch sooner rather than later :)
