Thanks for posting those videos Kris. I've never seen a chick hatch before. It must be so hard just to watch and not "help". Knowing me I'd probably "hlep" instead of "help" so, best for me to leave them alone:p

I find just watching everyone else's hatches super stressful. I really don't think I'm up for that. :(

Sometimes I think it's a good thing that I can't see my birds hatching until I take them out. I have done assisted hatches with about a 50% success rate. But that is totally nerve wracking.

The worst one's are those that are trying to hatch from the small end of the egg.
 
The jury is still out on all my Plymouth Rocks, they cockerels are awesome, but the pullets are still standoffish
Don't give up on your rocks. Mine aren't cuddly but they are friendly & approachable & don't fuss when they have to be handled. :)
