I won’t be able to get to the post office until Wednesday or Thursday next week... we have a holiday this coming Monday and then Andrew will likely be taking the truck in to work on Tuesday. I’m pretty sure the random pet hair removers for the wash I ordered months ago are quite literally coming on the slow boat from China. I have no idea how long it takes to cross the Pacific from there, but clearly they are taking their sweet time.

Being down to one vehicle sucks. And we need to buy some parts for that one too... it comes down to which should we try to fix first the 4wd Jeep so there’s a vehicle that can leave the farm safely if we get snow (we are 90% sure the alternator is toast), or the rotars on the otherwise functioning but only 2wd truck? Go for the expensive part on the more versatile vehicle or the cheaper part for the one that is currently working?

Pretty sure Friday would be the earliest your parcel could arrive so no real hurry. Australia Post can take their sweet time too.

What a dilemma about the vehicles! I'm pretty sure I would be opting for the jeep though. Any sort of weather confinement freaks me out. I always like an escape route!

Gotta agree with Ribh there, especially with winter looming in your part of the world.
But then, it's not my money....

So considering this! A most Excellent suggestion. Or should I see if Chickie Hawk or Sammy is willing to help provide an action shot then turn to photo shop for scale?

Thanks for the suggestions and support of where I was leaning on the vehicle situation. We are hoping to order both parts next week... my mom offered to chip in on the alternator, as she’s the primary driver of the Jeep that needs it! It could be a while before the parts get in though, I bought a two year only run of a diesel Jeep, hoping it would be as fuel efficient as our diesel truck (it’s not, but it has been doing great until the recent “electrical” issue)

Does anyone have any idea as to why my cat is obsessed with chicken bum-bum water? So, in all honesty, I do need to clean my eggs a little. The girls occasionally poop in the nest box, or make their feet filthy, or even worse randomly lay in the run/dirt! (All the clean ones are heading for a hatch!) so I do “wash” with warm water and nothing else, as necessary. What confuses me is why my cat wants to drink the egg washing water, poop and all! Has anyone else encountered something like this?

My cats like to drink out of the bird bath water that everything's been @.
