Things that don’t go over well at preschool! :lau

OMG id be mortified!

Thats the worst part! she would use it appropriately! when she was mad for ex. i took the trash she was playing with or whatever, 'sh*t!'

Also for a little while i let dh think it was his fault but i Did fess up i promise!

thank goodness shes outgrown that but she had Really latched on to it smh

You don't want that crawl space too tall, or your FIL will want to start storing his stuff in there too. Will he have a key?
No! And you can be darn sure that it will be locked. As will any attic access. No, no, and more no... we already made that mistake once, and have no intentions on repeating it!

I was concerned about that too.

Make sure the space under the house has a keyed lock, not a padlock. I wouldn't put it past FIL to use a pair of bolt cutters to access the "storage area" because it's on "his land"

This was my first time in the coop since they jacked it up, replaced the rotting supports, “cleaned it” (sure they did) and confined the 6 new girls there for the rest of their lives without any outside access. Y’all know how I feel about that one. Well the 6 girls have a 5gallon waterer, my 13 chickens use 3’s (easier to move). Mine will empty it in about 3 days in this weather. Those 6 girls were completely out, and it was fully dried and filthy! I don’t know how long they have been without water, maybe as many as 3 days according to my mother. They also had no food. Needless to say, despite my “not going to interfere with their ‘the way it’s always been, that chicken door was never used, they never went outside’ (despite their own stories of free range mean roosters and owls that flew into the coop) chicken husbandry” I corrected this immediately. I can’t watch an animal suffer like that and do nothing, even if it isn’t my “place”, I’m not a “farmer”, and I don’t know S***! So that was my repayment for my “borrowed” feed.

Oh that makes my blood boil! :he  Their casual neglect and cruelty must be agonizing for you Kris.

Yes, since you are not a farmer, you know nothing and have all these unreasonable "citified" expectations like properly caring for your flock by providing water.
and food.
and air.
and sunshine.

Very impractical. What would you know? :barnie

Lucky she latched onto that one and not the F bomb

The son of one of my good friends has confused the words frog and F#$.k. whenever he sees a frog he will point and say f&%k. She took him to daycare to pick his infant brother one day whe. she realized her mistake. all down the hallway to the nursery there were pictures of frogs on the the wall.

All the way down the hallway her son said in his little boy voice, f%#& ff&$%, f&#%, f&#%.

Kids are like little tape recorders with play back at the absolute most inappropriate time. I was always conscientious and careful around civilians, but oh did I find myself in heap of trouble when my customers and I were carrying on in a conference room and a lady from HR walked in. Everyone in the room were either bomb techs or aircraft maintenance folk. All I can say is ooops!
