I always try to buy local too.. I do find it concerning no knowing where my food comes from... This year we are trying to become more self sufficient. So true! Though I do love my cow and chicken cuddles, as much as the “true” backyard chicken keeper. Especially the cow hugs. It makes the 5 tons of 100+lb bales of alfalfa, 3000+ bales of hay (@ 50-60lbs) and chores 350 days a year (figuring in the “way too sick” or “my back is out”... see alfalfa, days) all worth while. And knowing my food. Growing my food. Growing food for our community. I’m quite passionate about local food, community, and when possible sustainability.
Good morning Nancymorning all![]()
X2 Good morning KrisHi Kris,
I hope you are doing well.
I expect that you have a lot on your plate at the moment.
Just to let you know that I'm thinking of you and hope the building repairs are coming along well. (I'm also hoping that you are able to find those plans and that FIL stays in Cuba for a while longer)
Take care of yourself and yours and don't forget to put your feet up occasionally!![]()
Beautiful feathers.@Kris5902 This Barnevelder girl was hard to get a picture of because she won't stand still, but we managed to be able to snap one of her while she was still in a bit of sun so that her feather pattern show's up better.
