I'm allergic to anything with perfumes [the rest of the house is allergic to other things] so a lot of soaps & sanitisers are a no go zone in this house. There's only a few brands of stuff we can use, including deodorants, washing powders, dishwashing liquids etc.

Thanks everyone for understanding me, and that I’m not a complete monster in my comment about Delta. I’m angry at the negligence and poor training, not him. I also have several very angry cow management comments I am keeping to myself, and a lot of general animal husbandry complaints. Suffice it to say you would all be beside me with :rant:mad: :he :hit But there’s nothing we can do about it, and I will spare you all the venting. They have decided to go ahead with the surgery at $3,000+ to repair the tendons, and relocate the dislocated joint. Scheduled for Thursday.

Andrew is the same way, and I have a few sensitivities, though nowhere near as much as he does. We use basic unscented soaps for the most part; Dr. Bronner’s Castille, Ivory, Pears, Palmolive, and Sapadilla (local) Grapefruit and Bergamot (with natural essential oils that don’t irritate DH’s sensitive skin). Our #1 complaint with the shared Laundry facilities is when some well meaning person puts a dryer sheet in with our clothes thinking they are being kind/generous. I Have to re-wash it all or poor Andrew will be covered in a rash for months!

Thank you ByBob, I do have antibacterial soap (pump dispenser) thought I was so wise to get some months ago. But, after reading what you have to say, I will go back to using regular bar soap.
Yep, plain old soap is awesome!

And more thanks to @BY Bob for the explanation. My Mother may have rolled her eyes as I read you post, but it is 100% true. We don’t have to fight the Virus as much as we need to fight the panic, hysteria, and many bad practices that have put us in this position. Poor hygiene, overcrowding, and the misuse of and reliance on antibiotics.

It's the panic & hysteria irritating me. There is no need for it.

Pears & Sunlight are it in this house. I take a risk every time I buy liquid soaps & there is only 1 or 2 washing detergents we can use. I stick to what I know no~one reacts to.

They make pump soap that is not antibacterial if you like pump soap. We have some. Get it at Home Goods cheap.

Good morning Kris :frow

Panic & hysteria is the real demon and there is no need for it. I'm wondering what folks are going to do with all that they are hording when this is over. I really surprised a lady at Walmart this weekend. They've restocked paper products, gated the isle on both ends and only one cart allowed in and only one pack of paper towels or TP allowed out. The lady told me I should get in line, my answer was why? I don't need it right now. Her response was "but we have it now" I figure that's nice, let the folks who need or think they need it buy it. I'm good.

As an aside, when I get back on again a bit more (I'm hoping next week!) I’m afraid I am going to have to just jump in again on most of the other threads we all frequent. I think there will just be too much catchup reading for even me!
I'll see if I can whip up a summary when the time comes. Just let me know the last thing you read.
