I love the photos. The picture of you holding Mrs B's butt in while making soap is just perfect. I'm glad you were able to get photos of everything. That worked out well.

Hi, another mini update... at least I’m online every few days again, though I’m really missing out and trying to catch up on the other threads as quickly as I’m able... (I pale to think of all the reading awaiting over on @Ribh ‘s thread!) I have foiled the cows, as you can see by the disappointed looks on their faces as they stare forlornly at the chicken tractors they can’t get at anymore.

Roostie is about to become a single man, as Shanti (my runt CX, who just turned 1yo) is completely terrified of him, and hides constantly. It’s not that he isn’t a gentle boy, he’s just way too heavy for her to deal with. He now gets to free range a bit, but is still overnighting with them.

My hatch that was “due” tomorrow is almost complete, I’m guessing they are early thanks to the turner malfunction, but everyone seems to be doing ok. One super tiny baby, but no soft bellies or major problems. Six are out, and the last egg is zipping right now. This is the first out from early yesterday morning. Super cute Sapphire Maran baby, I’m watching the spotting for potential sex links, but there are three color types so far: black, grey/blue, and white.

Shanti isn’t exactly a lightweight herself! Gobbler and her are both two hand lifts, very carefully, and wrapped in a shirt to control their little stubby and stabby wings.
