Yeah, you should be able to know by now. Probably a drake then, as their voices tend to come in later. But don't quote me on that!13 weeks tomorrow. All 4 siblings are in adult voices and have been for a while
That's what I'm thinking too, there's a slight rasp in the peep, but I was hoping maybe it was just a weird female. Gosh darn, I had really hoped I wouldn't have 4 boys out of this groupYeah, you should be able to know by now. Probably a drake then, as their voices tend to come in later. Okay. I'll try to get another one tonight. Darn bird just refuses to talkYes I didn’t realize it was that old either. I’d have to guess drake too.
Try to get another video if you can.
How old are they? Both males and females.I don't think my drakes are successfully breeding. I've candles dozens of eggs from nests this year and I've only had one or two develop that end up quitting. I watched Moose mount one of his hens and touch tas with her, but never saw any successful contact before he got off.
Oldest are a little over a year. I had a few fertile eggs last December, but I had to stop those because it was a really bad time to have a broody henHow old are they? Both males and females.
The session I saw was on the ground, but I know at least the Swedish has bred in the water. Moose avoided the pool until about a week ago so I'm not sure if he has bred in it yetHmmm...
Are they mating on the ground or in the water?
