This was your better picture . Yup, cockerel. See that spikey tail? An orpington pullet tail is smooth, like a fan. Here's mine about a year ago. Here’s another pic of this little “guy” with my Dominique in the foregroundView attachment 1827107
That’s kind of what I’d learned from my reading. Here are pics of both Orps tails. More support for Lavender Roo and Buff Pullet! This was your better picture . Yup, cockerel. See that spikey tail? An orpington pullet tail is smooth, like a fan. Here's mine about a year ago.

Lol...nope. I'm definitely the wrong person to ask that! My rooster is gorgeous but he lives in a bachelor pad because he attacked me too many times. I failed Rooster 101. Only been raising chickens for a year and a half. But there are plenty here that can help. Let's start by asking @aart .Any tips on raising a less aggressive rooster? I’ve read a bit on this, but I would love your opinion!
We had it built (I’m afraid we’re “city mice” masquerading as “country mice”!) but he’s done a GREAT job with coop and run Let me know if you want any details or infoThat’s beautiful roo and an awesome run! It’s pretty much exactly what I’m hoping for. Excavation started today, so we’ll see how it shakes out.
