Laying Eggs..

It means she is a new layer and they will just plop them out anywhere. Put her eggs inside their coop in soft bedding hopefully she'll take the hint and begin laying inside. My Runners and Buffs are over 2 yrs old now and still will plop out and egg on the ground every once in a while I found one yesterday next to the drinking bucket so I guess while she was getting a drink an egg came out. lol

FYI if you want to keep her first eggs, YouTube blowing out eggs so you can preserve them.

If you keep them with yolk inside forever, they will eventually rot and explode. It’s disgusting. Just thought I would mention that based on some of our prior conversations.;)

Do you have an incubator?..She is young so won't set them and Pekin are not known to be a Broody breed although some do Brood. All my young Hens lay them all over the place. My older Hens lay in the bedding. Wait till next spring.
