I'd like to know some more about recessive white
Recessive White is easy. Like any other recessive gene, a bird must have two copies for the gene to express in its phenotype (physically). A bird can have one copy of the recessive white gene but not appear white. The gene is masked by the dominant gene.

For instance, I raise English Opringtons. The first year I was breeding Silver-laced I crossed several lines together and was surprised to get white birds.

The two white chicks seen here were a pair that allowed me to breed them resulting in more White Orpingtons.

With just the one pair I was able to produce more females (I purchased some unrelated too).

I have since lost the rooster (during the snow storms last year) and have been trying to produce another by breeding the remaning female Recessive White to a Silver-laced Rooster in order to produce a split male to breed back to her and produce Whites again.
 
I'd like to know some more about recessive white, extended black, and dominant white, if you know some about that.
I know a bit! Both kinds of dominant white and recessive are phenotypically identical in adult phase. Solid white plumage is the result of several combonations of genes. C+ is the most dominant of the allelic series of locus . C+ being colored c being recessive white.

I postulate that there are at least one more lavender allelic mutation, that is responsible for the bad feather quality. Many people believe it's a gene that is closely linked to the lave allele and that causes bad feather quality and that once broken you get fine feathered lavender birds. I have research this extensively and believe it's just an allelic mutation of the lavender allele and it's dominant over lav.

The most dominant is Lav+(Black non lavender), then lav^f(very poor feather quality) and the most recessive is lav(fine feathered lavender), lav^f/lav birds will have the lavender phenotype with visibly poor quality feathers. the trick is to get the lav/lav homozygotes

I only know the stuff that I am dealing with like Chocolate, lavender,bbs,mottled and laced like I do not think adding black to lavender improves the lav...as I bred two split together and chick had worse feathering then its lav grandfather. Now im breeding for egg colors aswell still learning that though.

This is what I see all of the time, leading me to believe that it's not a matter of breaking a linkage that does not exist in the first place.

Your lavender grandfather was lav^f/lav, then in hopes to better your feather quality you cross it with Lav+/Lav+(Black) and then got 50% Lav+/lav^f and 50% Lav+/lav chicks, since they all look black you ended up breeding two Lav+/lav^f together and got lav^f/lav^f with the worst possible feather quality.
 
I understand the blue/splash and the lavender genetics decently well… but I encountered a slight problem while trying out a little cross?

I’m not sure if I’m interpreting this right or doing this right… but the question I had was: Would a working black gene overpower the blue/black/splash or would a working black allow the blue? Because (I think) the Lav+ makes it so that black is black and lav makes black into lavender... whereas the blue gene determines whether the chicken is black (bl/bl), blue (Bl/bl), or splash (Bl/Bl). So I really have no idea which one makes way for the other. Does the splash gene being black allow the lavender to show? Or does lavender always dilute black? I really hope I’m making sense here. 😬
