In the Brooder
Got a group of backyard mixes, the man who had them says this one is at least part, if not full blooded white leg horn. He wasn't sure the exact age, but it was hatched out this spring/early summer. He had a barn of hundreds so there was really no way of knowing.
After I got it home I noticed its comb is bigger and redder than the others in the group, but the whole chicken is bigger. When I opened the cage to let them out it jumped at me feet first (I'm super new to chickens so maybe hens do this? My current flock is super docile). I also noticed it has what looks like the start of spurs, but then several of my hens have the same. Based on tail feather I think it looks like a pullet, but with the big comb and attacking me feet first I thought I'd take it to the group and see what you all think!
