Well thankyou for taking in those roosters and letting them live out their natural lives happily. They deserve to live and be appreciated for the m a gnificent creations they are! I have 2 beauties my neighbors dont like their crowing. Such good boys.
My neighbor said something to me about the crowing I told him when he shuts his dog up i will shut my roosters up she barks at everything so needless to say that was the end of that discussion

Who here on BYC loves to hear their roosters crow?

How do you manage keeping roosters (tips, tricks, advice)?

Post pics of your roosters... Post stories... Post videos

Let that šŸ“ crow!!!
When I had a rooster, I really enjoyed hearing him crow! Been a city girl most of my life so all things in nature as new and exciting to me. (except snakes and lizards EEEWWWW! oh and armadillo-YIKES).
My rooster, Bert, has since been murdered by my neighbor's dogs.

So you have 17 Roos all together with hens ... and it works? Nobody trying to kill the other? I’m debating what to do with the roos from my recent hatch ...
I have 8roos in my main coop and 9roos in the batchler pad my main coop roo's have grown up together and get along great and the 9roos in the batchler pad are rescues from people that cant have or won't keep roo's and don't want them eaten i take them in

love love roos !!! I currently have 5 they are 6 years old along with the hens that they came with. Am getting 2 new babies along with a new group of hen babies to refresh my flock.

Its my LGD that keeps my Roos getting along he doesn't like fighting. So when the roos start fighting he breaks them up, picks out the aggressor, crowding them, getting between them, using his huge paw to swat at one, and then using his nose up the aggressor roos butt to escort him out of the area. The aggressor roo gets tired of the intervention... and moves on.
