hey all! My chicken has been like this for 2 days now. I thought it was her crop but felt around and it’s not her crop at all. This is a bone, like her neck bone.

she’s not eating, she’s drinking - she’s lethargic , can’t jump up into the coop. Poop is normal as can be for a chicken that’s not eating. No other chickens are acting weird. I gave her Nutridrench and have quarantined her just in case

I know it “looks” like an impacted crop but it’s not her crop at all. I tried all methods of emptying the crop without being invasive and nothing. She squeals if I try to touch or move the area

How old is she? How long has she looked like this? Could she have been jumped on and hurt by another chicken or rooster? Her neck problem could be wry neck, but her body makes it look like a back injury. Some older hens with internal laying or egg yolk peritonitis will stand upright like that with the tail down .

She’s only 6-7 months old and not laying yet

If she was injured by a rooster, though, would it heal?
