Let's compare gas prices

I paid $3.25 at Sams Club yesterday - this morning it is $3.31. Everywhere else around here is normally about 10 cents higher than Sams, but for the last week there has been almost a 20 cent difference.

I don't know how we are going to survive this - I drive 45 miles to get to work and I drive a Ford Expedition because I also have to take 1 kid to daycare and 3 to school in the mornings. Maybe I could get a horse and buggy??

3.75 pr gallon - low test.

I hope everyone driving high gas mileage vehicles trades them in for lower gas mileage cars. We really don't need to drive suv's all the time. They burn way too much gas.

I live in an affluent area and just because they can afford it everyone thinks that they need to have a 4wd for 2 snow storms a year. I know that there are people who truly need 4wd, but most don't. My answer has been to buy an inexpensive, small car, that gets really good mileage. If I have to visit my son on his mountain in VT in the winter, I park at the base, put on my pack and walk/hike up. It's a workout, and boy do I feel good about it.

If you have a family, squeeze them into a smaller vehicle... they do it in Europe. Make it a family learning experience/decision to save fuel and make us less reliant on ME oil.

Well, I paid $3.389 per gallon 60 miles where I live today, and that's for the cheap stuff. It won't be long and won't be able to run the cheap stuff due to the heat. Last Friday when I filled up my car 30 miles from our place it cost 3.399 a gal.

I am ready to start riding my horse to work, the only thing is it would take me all day to get here and then turn around and go back.

It's nothing to spend $200.00 ++ on gas in a month. Not quite a paycheck here, but not much left over after paying monthly gas bill.

As of yesterday, in my area of Northern California, the lowest grade gas was $3.89, and the premium was $4.09. There are stations which are more expensive than that, too. I don't know why anyone goes to them.

Diesal is $4.29.

ChickenRanchWife, my son spends exactly that, $200. a month, just to get to work and back, and it's not any real distance. Plus, our heater uses diesal, etc.
