My Crazy Neighbor has learned to deal with my family. Well I bought in a neighbor hood that was full older people. The couple 2 doors down are full on money. Ten years ago we bought this home and moved in with 6 children. (not a pleaser for everyone here). I put up a clothes line, which was not liked by the wealthy couple. (even though you cant see it from any one of the neighbors homes. The wealthy couple was throwing their trash (grass clippings, down tree branches, ect.) on my property. I told them that they need to stop because we where cleaning up the property. Well they called the cops on my because the last owner gave them permission to dump there. Well the cops told them that they have no rights and to stop. You can only see about 2 feet of my property and then it is all down hill. The only other thing the neighbors see is my roof. Well when the fall season came, the wealthy neighbor asked if I was going to rake my lawn. (he pays some one to make his pretty) My reply was no but if it bothers you help yourself. He never did. But after 5 years and seeing the improvments and the fact that we did start to do the yard work, The neighbor has been very nice to live next too. Now if he came down and saw the 4 building for the chickens, ducks, and turkeys, he would have a cow.
Now that I have chicken another neighbor has called the cops on me for my rooster crowing. The cops explained to him that there is nothing that they can do because the noise is durning the day. So when to cops told me, I told them that I only have 2 roosters and if it bothers him that l Let them out between 8 and 8:30 am, then I will let them out at 6:00 am when quiet time is over. They did tell him that and it has been 2 years and never another complaint and no eggs for that neighbor.
11. Very drunk next door hillbilly decided to 'tackle' a 2000# bull so they could brand it. Hillbilly did manage to land on the bull, a scuffle ensued, hill billy got kicked. Hillbilly sat on a block of ice for 3 weeks (didn't go to ER) and eventually, uh, ended up caponized.
Allll true here too! And its ornery against evil now, and since he was soo intent on me not allowing my dogs on that half of my land, I have decided to make that the side of the yard that houses my compost heap, my completely evilproof coop, and my goat pen, all up wind of his patio, where they are legally allowed to be. You would think that he would learn to leave me alone and quit harassing my animals and my family.
And , HE STARTED IT!

It sounds like you live in Mountainaire rather than Flagstaff.
Nah, I live in East Flag, over 10 miles outside of town in Doney Park, but the way that bozo acts you would think we live in Forest Highlands!! (Super expensive country club)
ok, this thread has been very interesting. Some of you have downright crazy neighbors. Our street seems pretty normal after this although we do have a few resident quirky ones.
I have a tame contribution, but it's not exactly about a neighbor... on my morning drive to work I go by a house whose owner is frequently out mowing the small front lawn with a push mower. So often that the lawn has really not grown, but I understand many people get very into how the lawn looks.
Here's what throws me tho. The woman is in her mid to upper sixties, and only mows the lawn in her bikini, on a road with a fair amount of car traffic. She doesn't EVER wear a shirt and shorts or even shorts with the bikini top! Only the bikini. I definitely find that a little odd (and not really something I want running around my head before a day of work
