Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

Here we go again, we're hatching more goslings!   I set my 1st eggs of 2013 a few days ago and am so excited to candle them to see if fertile.  :fl  They are from my white & brown African group and am hoping to get an interesting variety of colors.  I also have 2 pairs of buff dewlaps that I think will start laying any day now, 2 pairs of buff gander/grey goose dewlaps, 2 pairs of grey dewlaps, and a cute pair of production toulouse.  I doubt many of the dewlap pairings will be fertile as most are yearlings, but I do have at least one 2yo buff gander that seems to be getting the job done. I can't wait to start setting more eggs and am looking forward to having babies again (even though I have to sell most of them).

Anyone else getting excited to hatch goslings??  What breeds (or crosses, because they are wonderful too) is everyone hatching or planning to hatch??

Amy,

We expect pictures of the new borns by the end of the day!

I tried, but this is the best I could get through the window- lol!

There is a lavender hatched now too. She's totally yellow with a tinted bill. And one more that looks like this is zipping.

Goslings not due to arrive until 3/26-28, but I've been hatching out my very first batch of khaki campbells this weekend.

They did not want to hold still for photos, but they were very interested in the camera.

I've got 14 in the brooder, one drying out, one peeking out of a hole in the egg, and four more eggs with no action in the incubator. Today is day 28.

So, I'll have extras if anyone is looking. (We decided to hatch a few extra eggs for the Easter season).

Awww! Love them!

Here's 3 of the 4 that hatched today. The last one that didn't hatch was...odd. To say the least. I have more pics on the Seb gosling thread.

I am thinking blue or grey, saddleback, and lavender. The one still drying is blue or grey too. I think.
