Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

Getting duck eggs has started a domino effect here. Been wanting a big pond for years and no one else did. Now that i got the eggs and possible ducklings on the way everyone is getting ready to dig a pond lol should have gotten ducks years ago lol my geese will love it too.

I put the first set of hatchlings together today. They are too cute zooming around the big pen. Tomorrow, the first two go to their new home, but I should have another gosling hatching tomorrow night and more ducklings this weekend.

So many cute pics on here! I'm getting excited for my first gosling hatch. Should start happening next week.

All the baies on here no matter what breed are just darling and we are all so proud of our babies too!! I am having gosling with drawls with all my goslings gone. Even if I do need a good rest between hatches....

ok..... need advice..... my goose eggs are due in a week... these were eggs that were accidnetly sent to me which is why I dont really have a palce for them!

Anyways! my broody decided she did not like how big they were and kept moving nest boxes so they went back in the incubator after my last hatch.... but now I have more eggs to go in tonight!!!

My question... when my new eggs go in the bator the turner will be off, so if I keep the goose eggs in there I will have to hand turn... how often, and how much should I rotate each egg... There hatch date is next thursday

Before the hatch when the turkey didn't know that she was sitting on goose eggs.

After the hatch when the turkey saw that the goose didn't look like her. She was OUTTA THERE! She left the nest !!!!!!

So I have a new baby gosling. It was hatched yesterday.

Annabel, I hand turn 180 degrees 3x a day and stop turning about 5 days prior to hatch date, when the air cell starts dipping. Good luck!

She left the nest !!!!!!

That cracked me up about the turket sitting on the goose egg until it hatched and then beat feet out of there becauuse it did not look like her.

Well she did a good job anyway sitting on it. Cute gosling.

I have three little goslings hanging out in my bathroom. I have nine more in the 'bator - five more are pipped (Day 30 today!!) and four more are rocking. Crossed fingers they all make it out ok!!
