Let's have a gosling hatchalong!

CONGRATULATIONS :D

I'll bet you're so pleased and greatly relieved ;)

Thank you pete! Im relieved he is out but the yolk is not really completey absorbed. Im making sure hes not moving, hes by himself on a moist towel, and im praying he will absorb the rest. Im guessing maybe 50/50 chance for survival. Ive had guineas make it before when hatched like that i just hope hes as strong as those guineas were.

Baby kicked 3 times across the towel and the yolk absorbed!!!!! It was weird to see that happen!! Wow the ways that nature works!

However Baby im afraid is a special needs gosling. He has a "hair lip" and possibly, although im not completely sure, a turned foot.

All in all he is a gorgeous baby none the less.

So sorry to hear about your goose eggs -- I hope that last one makes it. Congratulations on your ducks that hatched!

My brown African baby hatched out overnight and my 1st dewlap egg is almost ready to zip. From what I can see of its beak, it appears to be a boy (grey). My next two dewlap eggs internally pipped overnight too, so I'll move them over to hatcher this afternoon, as soon as the 1st dewlap baby finishes hatching.

Congrats!!! PICS!?!?!?!?!

I know the cracker babies are from a white goose.... but she must have been fertilized by a brown gander. So if the babies are solid brown, I think they should be color sexed female, but if they are a brown/white cross then they would be boys.
