F daddy, you don't know me well enough yet, it's ok.

I use a small family owned hardware store, not a mass-market "home improvement" store, but a place where the guys selling the stuff have built a few of everything, and know the guy to call to do your project up right. Since I pick up 2 cases a month, they cut me a bulk discount, I keep them stocked with beer soap. Some lady saw me wheel out with 32 lbs of lye, and called in my plates for making drugs. 2 days later DEA pulls up as i'm in the middle of a large order. so I gave them a soap making lesson, even taught them feathered swirls. Because the pink lab coat and pony tail totally screams "i will not be dissolving your courpse tonight". If they'd stayed longer, I would've totally put them to work.

With all that goes on in todays world. I guess ya never know who may be up to evil deeds!! Even a lady in a pink lab coat and pony tail may need a little look'n into!! Bill.... Who is usually guilty of SOMETHING....

sleep deprivation and schedule planning doesn't match well lol. around 3 am this morning i was trying to decide how much of what i wanted to hatch out, and started doing the math and freaked out because i had messed up and been putting the eggs i meant to hatch in the fridge, so i had little over a week to get more eggs.... spent the rest of the night fretting... come home and check up on th thread to see SET september 1st... not hatch september first lolha. I really need to sleep properly lolha.

Makes for a bonus in my mind because suddenly i'll be able to use more of the jumbo browns as they are just starting to lay haha. I'll be ok,... maybe lol...

So whats the general consensus for coturnix participants, how many days worth of eggs are you grabbing? May be my last hatch of the year so i'm thinking 7-10 days worth lol.

Many Years Ago I Had The Batf Show Up 1 Day.... They Couldnt Understand Where All The Smokeless Gunpowder Was Going To. Back In The Day Was Shooting Competitively And Would Average Around 5000-6000 Rds A Week. They Looked At Me Funny At 1st Until I Showed Them The Reloading Room And Explained Since It Was Getting Quite Expensive I Decided To Use My Tax Return To Get "a Years Worth Of Supplies" With My Tax Return Rather Than Keep Ponying Up The Money From My Monthly Budget

These are very very old trays and so the trays are just flat with wire for the eggs. The pins were put in front of and behind each quail egg so the egg stays in the tray and we could put plenty of them in the tray. I may have a photo somewhere...

no reds from me, i have rosettas, tiebetans, jumbo brown and golden jumbos.

sorry syble, I was confused with someone else maybe, thought someone on the forum said they had a larger "red" hen, maybe it was red, scarlett, red range/tibetan or maybe even rosetta, I just remember "R..." and it sounded exciting- but I cannot find the post now. was wondering if they were going to set a bunch of her eggs and how long they were going to collect them for.
