Being sterile/infertile doesn't mean not laying, it just means that any eggs produced will be blanks. And any sperm would not be viable in the males.

I love it too! It's Heart Attack/Heartbreaker/Heartbreak-her! The mom and her brood are doing good too! Amazing, actually

. The flocks are doing good as well. Koutsi unfortunately is not. She's really old for an ISA brown, and the last two days have not been good. Just unfortunate timing, really. She's my favorite hen, just like Cruella

Cruella looks more relaxed now and that's good. She was probably a nervous new mom, she is trusting her instincts now. ❤

I am so sorry about Koutsi! It's unfortunate ISA Browns don't have a long lifespan, so sad. Keep her comfortable somewhere, she knows how much you love her.

I think it'll turn out a gorgeous bird too! I love its fast feathering. To be honest i don't see much of a difference in Cruella's behavior. Koutsi is relatively comfortable where she's at, although Ursula does disturb her a little. To be honest I'm a little more standoffish with her, because I don't want to see her gone

Poor Koutsi. I have distanced myself from sick or dying birds in the past, it hurts no matter how close we are. Sending her some virtual love and hugs. ❤ ❤
