I wanna write but I don't want to get started
Inspiration is everything in an artists work! Just wait until you feel it within you, let the inspiration do the writing, don't force it.

I meant more literally getting a pencil and finding my notebook 😅. The current scene is already living rent free in my head, I just need to actually write it out

You need to share your writings here with us! :pop

I like writing romances, even if I am wildly inexperienced in that whole field of thought 😅. And if course because 90% of the real worlnis boring, most are Supernatural and/or medival. This current story is about a werewolf king and a former prince faerie

Ok. I really don't want to start a new thread about this in the "pests" forum because I don't know if I need to go full-on freakazoid so I'm posting here first hoping someone will talk me off the _burn-the-whole-coop-down_ ledge:

Sooooo, I found a SINGLE tiny white bug on an egg today. I check my girls, the coop, and eggs *frequently* for signs of mites/lice (no signs ever) and this particular bug did not look like any kind of fowl mite or lice that I've seen in pictures. I thoroughly inspected the nest boxes and nesting pads, wearing a head lamp and everything, and didn't see anything moving about, but I'm still freaked. 🥴

Is it wise to take a "wait and see approach" (and just be even more vigilant over the next few days checking), or do I need to torch the place immediately (and by "torch" I mean deep clean the coop, and treat it and birds with permetherin? Dealing with mites/lice pretty much my worst chicken-keeping nightmare. Help me, please. 🫣

One bug doesn't mean an infestation thankfully. And unless you see the birds developing issues, my personal opinion is to wait and see.
I wrote an article on the most common poultry bugs, look at the photos and see if your bug looks like any of these...
