The only thing I'm worried about, is I keep finding a couple of them laying on their sides in the shade panting like crazy

It's supposed to get to 99 here today :/ the AC is my dearest friend right now

We're having a cooler week right now, it was only 87 at work today

It is. It's also one of the first things I've been able to do where if I mess up, it isn't the end of the world to me. I can actually just tell myself 'Ew, that looks way worse than I thought. Let's try something else.', and I'm okay going in with half a plan and playing around with the different effects

That's awesome, I've always been afraid to try painting miniatures because they're so small and I'd be so afraid of messing up, but it's great to hear that it isn't a huge deal

They can handle a few coats of paint if you decide to repaint over them completely, and most places have size options, especially on Etsy. You can always see if you can get larger versions to get comfortable with.
