Lice? (Picture)

I had to go to my vet, they had dusting powder that is now outlawed with the pesticide ban. I just ordered from amazon.ca sevin dust and neem oil .

I was told by my vet to use wood ash and the dusting powder together .... they are all clear but I’ll check again next week

I did find ivermectin at the vets, it is injectable

I'm in Canada too! I *will* be okay... I'm just bummed... I started this whole "chicken thing" as an anti-depression project (including building the coop myself - I do best when I have a project)... and now, less than 3 weeks in to having the birds, I've got Marek's and lice
Just realize that regular wild birds carry lice and mites, so it isn't anything that you did or didn't do. I imagine most of your farm stores would carry things you could use whether is is permethrin (if allowed in Canada) or ivermectin. If you do use ivermectin there is a withdrawal period for eating the chickens eggs.
The same goes for Mareks - it is nothing you did.
This is just another step in your project. Now, it's time to take care of this issue and design a dust bath area for them that has sand, dirt, and wood ash if you have any available. Some even add the DE to the dust bath area.
Believe me the past year of having chickens (and now ducks) has been one thing after another. But, their silly antics always puts a smile on my face.
:hugs

They do have an old tire filled with wood ash, sand, dirt, and DE :) guess they're not using it like they should. Lol.

That's great. It helps, but I don't think it is a guarantee that the chickens won't get pests.
I was just throwing that out just in case your chickens didn't have a dust bath. It seems like there is always something to do with regards to poultry.
