What product do you use that's 0.25%? That's the same percentage as I found... I'm debating maybe spraying it at full power in the coop/roost, and then adding some water to the jug and spraying the birds with the diluted stuff...

I would use the spray you bought full strength to spray my coop tonight.
I would NOT try to dilute it if I were you.
What I am un sure about though is if I would use on my animals.
Give me a few more minutes to dig around and see what the first ingredient is.

You guys are the actual BEST. coop is all emptied and sprayed... Run is completely raked/emptied of all leaves, feathers, spilled food... I'll spray the ladies right before bed, and then give the run a little spritz while they're sleeping. Thanks SO much for all of your help. My research agrees with everything your saying; but it always feels good to have a second opinion

I would.
You have to really stay on top of lice to get rid of them.

The times I have used permethrin spray I have not had to retreat but do double check them really well.

But it's not banned, it's just not "labeled". When people say "ban" I get the feeling like the police or feds are gonna come knocking or that I will get in trouble.

Lifetime withdrawal for Carbaryl in poultry type of 'ban'.

I would assume permethrin is still available in Canada @snow5164 ?
