Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

River stood up and also stretched her wings. I guess I don`t have to put on my jacket. I slept in it. She thought. She looked at him. "How`s that wound on your leg?"
Xylo replied simply "It's just a scar now. Doesn't hurt anymore." He added with a little smile "Basically healed." He asked as he stood up and put a hand on the doorknob "Ready for a new day?"

Xylo looked at her after that response, and sighed "Same here." as he opened the door and checked if everyone was ok. No one had broken in and all the doors were closed, so he presumed them sleeping.
River glanced around, feeling the last pieces of fear from her dream drift away. "Looks like we are the first up." She commented.

Xylo nodded, responding softly so he didn't wake anyone up, "I'm going to outside and get some fresh air." The fog outside greeted him with a cool embrace as he exited the cabin, the dew on the grass evaporating slowly, retreating to the clouds. He looked back towards the cabin as he spread his wings, seeing River inside. He found one of the boulders on the side of the cabin, and sat there, enjoying the quiet morning, the birds' chirps the only sounds in the forest. It was peaceful for once. For know. Eventually, a gunshot would break it. It was unfortunate, but thats the way life was now.

Persepolis opened her eyes slowly. It was bright, brighter than it normally was at the time when she usually gets up. I must have really been exhausted to sleep in late She thought. She glanced over to Luna, still asleep. Persepolis carefully got out of bed, careful not to make any noise. She didn't want to wake her, not yet.
Persepolis decided she'd have a little fun to start her day. She quietly transformed into her Golden Eagle state, and silently glided over to the nightstand by Luna's bed. Luna was facing it as she slept. Perched on the edge, Persepolis spread her wings to their full wingspan. She then dropped the tip of her right wing, hanging it at what looked like an unnatural angle. Next, she tilted her head completely sideways, parallel with the ground and stuck out her tongue. She stared straight ahead, waiting for Luna to wake up.

River went out onto the porch and sat down on the steps, having took her book with her and began to read, determined to finally finish it.

(Oh no u didnt.)

Luna was having a pleasant dream for once, one where she was apparently a mother and had a child sitting on her lap as she read him a story. He clung to her as she read, quietly listening to the words of his mother, smiling at the funny ending. It was there the dream ended, and Luna slowly awoke. As light crept into her eyes as they fluttered open, she saw something on her nightstand, eventully realizing it was a horrible bird that looked contorted. With a scream she shot up and fell backwards, tumbling to the floor as she realized who it was. She muttered groggily, a hint of humor in her voice “I hate you, you know that?”

Xylo’s words weren’t more true as he heard the echo of a gunshot in the distance. Most likely a skirmish at the mansion, there were many there. One day, it would be stormed, most likely. Destroyed.

Eva awoke with a soft yawn, realizing with some annoyance her glasses had fallen off while she was asleep. As she was near-sighted, she fumbled around, grasping at the bed in attempts to find them.
