HoodedHuntress
Songster
(yup I gotchu)River barely fought off a smirk. They are so cute together. She snickered in her head. She closed her book and put it in her jacket. "Welp, I`m heading off." Lucas didn`t hear her though, he and Eva were already past her. She rose to her feet and began to walk into the forest. Maybe she would go to the wolves, or find somewhere were there was no other Aves so that she could sing.
She went aways, and leaned her back up against a tree before realizing she was alone- alone with Horius roaming around. She made up her mind that she wouldn`t go farther and would keep an eye out, when she got back, she would tell Xylo she wasn`t thinking.
Before she even knew it, notes were rising into the air from her mouth.
"Just fight a little longer my friend
It's all worth it in the end
But when you got nobody to turn to
Just hold on, and I'll find you
I'll find you
I'll find you
Just hold on, and I'll find you"
She sang, but quiet enough that only someone very close would hear her. The camp certainly couldn`t.
(@HoodedHuntress Can you have Xylo have followed her?)
Eva asked Lucas with a raised eyebrow "Do you know how to skin it? Because I definitely don't." She looked at the doe that they had set down on the porch, staring at it with some melancholy.
Xylo followed, but at a distance. He didn't want to interfere with whatever she was doing, and respected her privacy. He looked around him, his eyes falling on the trees, standing tall and proud, concealing him from the vision of hunters. The grass seemed to sway in the light breeze, dancers to the rhythm of the forest. And then the birds' singing echoed in the air, accompanying by what seemed to be an angel singing, faintly, quietly, meekly. It was off in the distance, and the mental tracker he had placed on River betrayed that it was her. The words of her song wafted in the ear, a delightful symphony of soft words that he couldn't make out yet. He was too far off. He came closer, wonderstruck at how amazing she was at singing. As he neared, he saw her singing against a tree, her eyes closed as she sung, head pointed up the sky. She seemed...majestic.
