Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

River barely fought off a smirk. They are so cute together. She snickered in her head. She closed her book and put it in her jacket. "Welp, I`m heading off." Lucas didn`t hear her though, he and Eva were already past her. She rose to her feet and began to walk into the forest. Maybe she would go to the wolves, or find somewhere were there was no other Aves so that she could sing.
She went aways, and leaned her back up against a tree before realizing she was alone- alone with Horius roaming around. She made up her mind that she wouldn`t go farther and would keep an eye out, when she got back, she would tell Xylo she wasn`t thinking.
Before she even knew it, notes were rising into the air from her mouth.
"Just fight a little longer my friend
It's all worth it in the end
But when you got nobody to turn to
Just hold on, and I'll find you
I'll find you
I'll find you
Just hold on, and I'll find you
"
She sang, but quiet enough that only someone very close would hear her. The camp certainly couldn`t.
(@HoodedHuntress Can you have Xylo have followed her?)
(yup I gotchu)
Eva asked Lucas with a raised eyebrow "Do you know how to skin it? Because I definitely don't." She looked at the doe that they had set down on the porch, staring at it with some melancholy.

Xylo followed, but at a distance. He didn't want to interfere with whatever she was doing, and respected her privacy. He looked around him, his eyes falling on the trees, standing tall and proud, concealing him from the vision of hunters. The grass seemed to sway in the light breeze, dancers to the rhythm of the forest. And then the birds' singing echoed in the air, accompanying by what seemed to be an angel singing, faintly, quietly, meekly. It was off in the distance, and the mental tracker he had placed on River betrayed that it was her. The words of her song wafted in the ear, a delightful symphony of soft words that he couldn't make out yet. He was too far off. He came closer, wonderstruck at how amazing she was at singing. As he neared, he saw her singing against a tree, her eyes closed as she sung, head pointed up the sky. She seemed...majestic.

"I can, but not very well. We should probably find Stephen." Lucas said, glancing around.
(Replying to Xylo now.)

River`s words continued to drift up through the trees.
"I'm hanging on by a thread
And all I'm clinging to is prayers
And every breath is like a battle
I feel like I ain't come prepared
And death's knockin' on the front door, Pain's creepin' through the back, Fear's crawlin' through the windows
Waiting for em' to attack
They say "Don't get bitter, get better" I'm working on switching them letters
But tell God I'mma need a whole lotta hope keeping it together
I'm smilin' in everyone's face
"
Reality didn`t seem as important as she tilted her head back even more. The sunlight penetrated her eyelids even though they were closed.
Who had originally sang this? She wondered, searching her memory. Ah, yes. Lecrae.
Singing was a way for her to escape. And she hoped that she could finish this one song without some disaster happening.
"I'm cryin' whenever they leave the room
They don't know the battle I face, They don't understand what I'm going through
The world tryna play with my soul, I'm just tryna find where to go
I'm tryna remember the way, I'm tryna get back to my home
But, I can't do this on my own
That's why I'm just trusting in you
Cuz' I don't know where else to go, And, I don't know what else to do
Just fight a little longer my friend
It's all worth it in the end
"

Xylo heard all the words in clarity now, wondering who she was singing about. Perhaps Lucas? Or him? Still, he didn't interrupt her, not wanting to witness the end of her beautiful voice. Her voice seemed to freeze him, rooting him to the floor right where he was, threatening to never let him go. It was like a trance, and he couldn't seem to shake himself free. Not that he wanted to.

Her words resonated with him, no one knew what he felt either. But for some reason he felt better about it, knowing that the person closest to him felt that way as well. Perhaps it was selfish. She didn't know what he felt, and maybe he should open up to her about it. He tried to keep himself hidden so she didn't notice her, only his deeply pensive dark brown eyes penetrating the green of the forest.

(sounds good. Can you make a starter post?)

(Sure)
Stephen wandered through the forest, looking for something to hunt. He wanted to get better hunting with only his knife, so he left his bow at the cabin. He sat down on by a river & threw a few rocks into the water, watching the fish dodge the rocks & swimming downstream.
