Lies and Deceit - A Fantasy RP

Janus paused, panting. I should just leave it alone, he thought. It's more trouble than it's worth.
Crow cawed at him and ruffled his feathers. He probably just wants to make me into Crow soup. He tried to convince himself, and turned to face the wall, still watching Janus out of the corner of his eye. Though he often went to the human village to steal food and occasionally supplies, that didn't mean he trusted the humans. Especially not a hunter, and even more especially a hunter that had tried to spear him with a knife.

Janus sighed, undecided. He strode over to the window and opened it. It seemed to be okay and he really wanted nothing to do with it anymore - it didn’t seem to either, judging by the indignant ruffle it gave off.

Luna agreed, responding thoughtfully “Same here. Ive never wanted children more in my life.” She nodded as she saw Persepolis take off, still heading westward on foot, enjoying the silence of the forest, the warmth of the sun penetrating the canopy, the sight breeze, the whistling of the birds. When she landed once again and told her the news, Luna responded “Spunds like a plan? On foot or flying?”
Persepolis thought about it for a while. Finally, she answered, "Flying. As birds. That way we won't spook the deer or draw anyone's attention." She waited for Luna's answer, still keeping her guard up. She didn't want them to get ambushed.

Xylo held her tightly, giving every ounce of comfort he had to give. His touch was gentle, and so was his gaze, his dark brown eyes gentle and loving. His shirt was soaked with her tears, a sign of his deep love for her, and the patience and comfort he would offer. Xylo gave her a comforting look when she looked up at him, softly reaching forward to wipe the tears off her face, holding her tight with his other hand.
River blinked rapidly, trying to blink the tears from her eyes. Her gut twisted in sorrow, and her head began to throb with the sharp pain of a headache. Her tears were slowing, but the hurt of lose didn't leave. What is wrong with that sick man? Why would he do this? She wondered sadly.

Luna nodded, responding "Let's go. You lead since it's your idea." She shifted into her bird form, and flew up on the nearest tree, perching on it to preen her feathers delicately, making sure they were all correctly preened. She then looked at Persepolis curiously, waiting for her to shift as well, and for the pair to fly off.

Xylo kept brushing away her tears, eventually playing a comforting kiss on her forehead. He whispered "I'm so sorry River." He couldn't say anything else, words couldn't explain her severe pain. He simply held her closer to him, letting her find whatever comfort she could find in him. His remnants of friendship with Horius had been broken. He had caused so much hurt in his woman, and he would find him and get his revenge.

Persepolis shifted into a bird. She alighted next to Luna, stretching out her wings to their completely full length and stretching each of her legs. She did a quick preening, aligning her flight feathers precisely. Her hooked beak gleamed in the sunlight. She cocked her head at Luna, crouched, and took off, leading the way. She flew above the trees, her figure a silhouette against the sun. Her eagle eyes caught the deer, picking their way carefully through the forest. She banked, circling them. She lifted her head, checking that Luna was still behind her. Seeing she was, she softly dove, landing on a tree 10 meters from the deer. She hopped down, landing on the forest floor.
Persepolis shifted into Aves form, crouched low to the ground, hiding in cover. She waited as the deer slowly came closer.

Luna crouched next to her, waiting for her queue to shift before doing so. She cranes her head slightly, before preening some of her feathers to pass the like. Occasionally, she would turn her head to catch a look at Persepolis, waiting for a signal before the attacked.
