Luna smiled at her friend's excitement regarding her boyfriend, before it faded. She too was apologetic as she responded "No, don't worry about it. I've been gone so much that we haven't even had a chance, so that's my fault." She paused, before she ended her statement with a sincere and even assertive tone as she added "And never say sorry for that, I would be a horrible friend if I was jealous that you were spending more time with someone else than me. You are happy with him, and seeing you that way gives me a lot of joy." She smiled once again, showing her genuine care for Persepolis' well-being and personal enjoyment.

Persepolis smiled, responding with relief, "I'm glad you're not mad. You're a fantastic friend, honest." She agreed that Hector made her happy but she didn't voice this. Instead, she tiredly announced, "I'm planning on fetching that deer hide from the river and getting started on turning it into leather. Eventually I'm going to make leather armor and wrist braces. Two sets." She added, "Are you doing anything today or do you need to catch some sleep?"

Persepolis smiled, responding with relief, "I'm glad you're not mad. You're a fantastic friend, honest." She agreed that Hector made her happy but she didn't voice this. I'll go to bed if you decide to see Hector today, but this whole armor thing sounds cool. How thick would you say the deer hide is?" She began walking with Persepolis towards the river, unless Persepolis stopped her to get something, clearly joyful to be distracted once again, especially by her best friend who quite frankly was great company.

I'll go to bed if you decide to see Hector today, but this whole armor thing sounds cool. How thick would you say the deer hide is?" She began walking with Persepolis towards the river, unless Persepolis stopped her to get something, clearly joyful to be distracted once again, especially by her best friend who quite frankly was great company.

Once it has been boiled and dried it will be extremely hard and good enough to stop the bullet from a pistol and a long distance rifle or shotgun shot. And no blade will be able to pierce it." They got to the spot and Persepolis kicked off her shoes, rolled up her pants, and waded in. She started removing the rocks holding down the hide.

Xylo smiled at her sleepy voice, and asked teasingly "Does Ms. Vampire want to go to bed some more? She is nocturnal, after all." He intertwined his fingers with hers and gave her a gentle squeeze as a good morning, opting for that instead of a kiss because morning kisses were not the most enjoyable ones.

River laughed, fully opening her eyes. "Ms. Vampire will have to deal with the day, I suppose."

She suggested thoughtfully “We could hunt a few more deer large enough and try to make armor for everyone.” However, she wasn’t fully convinced that deer hide would stop something of that power. She asked curiously “Have you tested it out? I’m not doubting you, I’m simply surprised that deer hide can stop a bullet like that.”

River laughed, fully opening her eyes. "Ms. Vampire will have to deal with the day, I suppose."

Xylo smiled, brushing her hair with his hands softly as he sat on the edge of the bed. He asked gently, not wanting to plague her with too much since she just woke up, “You happy Brid’s with us now?”

River shrugged. "I wouldn't say happy, I didn't know her much before we were banished, but I am glad she is okay." She said.

Xylo nodded, his eyes focusing on her stomach for a quick second. He gave her a small smile, before he reached out to softly touch her belly, whispering “I love you, you know that?” His eyes were soft, caring, sincere.

(Lets just say that we can eventually make armor that can stop a pistol bullet at close range. XD We are going to need some kind of protection and making the armor seems more realistic than finding it.)
"I think we should hunt more deer. We need the meat, bones, and hide anyway." Persepolis pondered Luna's question before answering, "Almost anything can stop a bullet if it is thick or hard enough. Wood can stop a bullet if it is a quarter to a half inch thick. Leather can if it is hard enough or the bullet strikes at the wrong angle." She paused, thinking, "I'll test out some boiled scraps later. If it doesn't work we may be able to line the leather with something that does. At the very least well have protection against blades and maybe arrows."
