Well, my little Americana(Ethel) passed in her sleep last night. She had been disabled after a stroke since early May. I had been watering her by hand for over a month now. I was amazed at how long she lasted. Yesterday she was enjoying fresh garden tomatoes and chicken feed. I'm glad she went on her own and I didn't have to intervene. Still can't help but feel a little sad. Makes a Monday all that much worse.
