Lockdown- Silkie Eggs in Genesis 1588

Ok so I pulled them both out and we are not doing as bad as I thought. Their eyes are open and clear. I think it was just super sleepy! We do have one splayed foot and I bandaged.

I couldnt help myself and candled the rest and cleaned out debris from the bator. I didnt see any movements so im not hopeful but humidity was getting low and no visible pips so I refilled bottom, replaced mat and did a quick wipe and put them back in. Figured couldnt hurt anything!

The two chicks are in the brooder now and see happy. Ill introduce food and water tomorrow.

At least you have two. They can keep each other company.

I hope that I don't have a wild ride like you did when it's my turn.
Biggest lessons were get a solid incubator, play with it for a week to learn its kinks and have a plan for a power outage.

Dont worry as much as I did cause even if everything goes wrong there still might be a chance like in my case!

I'll just do what I normally do to hatch. If your electric goes out again on you, have a large towel or blanket handy so that you can quickly throw it over the incubator. That will help to hold in the heat longer. Oh, and don't forget to take your nap. ;)
