CongratsOn Tuesday I picked up silkies from a breeder that were freshly hatched. So so sweet! I was personally surprised by how much newly hatched chicks sleep as I usually bought them at a few days old and they are very active by that point. I’m watching your thread with interest

Not sure how long you have been following but I did have a power outage for about 8 hrs and ive heard that could set them back but weird to have one out and not any others even piped, right?Uh oh..........
This little lady (hopefully) is knocking them all around so its going to be even harder! She is very vocal so hopefully that will do the trick. The shell said PS, does that mean Splash? I never cared as these will just be pets but curious now. Fingers crossed more hatch out soon!
There are notes on that thread I sent you on how to help weak chicks and how to help it’s foot.Ok so we have two "PS" Silkies hatched out. Does anyone know what PS stands for? Partridge?
Anywho, no visible pips on any of the rest, but im holding out hope.
There are signs that prove the incubation didnt go well, one of the chicks isnt opening its eyes and the other has a splayed foot. Depending on if any more eggs pips I am planning on letting them rest until morning then bandaging foot and using some neosporin to try to get eyes to open. Maybe give them some Nutridrench on a qtip and transfer to Brooder? Thoughts or feedback on this plan?
