Lonely chick

Hi everyone so I was hatching three eggs and they all had babies but only one survived getting out of the egg the other two died and she is really lonely she needs a sister so do any of you have any checks and I could have that are A couple days old?? I live in Maine thx

Check your local Craigslist for baby chicks. Also, post this in your state thread here on BYC. Good luck!

As @Smuvers Farm mentioned, look at craigslist and try facebook.

In the meantime, you may want to add a small stuffed animal in the brooder for your chick to snuggle with. Some people also place an unbreakable mirror in the brooder - seems that chicks like to admire themselves

I agree. Also, for future reference, I recommend setting at least six eggs per hatch.
