Honestly, you wouldnt be able to tell much difference unless I took straight-on butt-shots pre and post trim, LOL. On the hen, we pluck the feathers just above the vent. On the rooster, we pluck and/or trim the feathers below the vent. That makes sense when you think of how they mate and contact is made. You usually dont need to take out that much if it's taken out in the right place. If I dont start getting more fertile eggs, we'll take out more feathers, though. I swear, that Skye is the most fluffy hen I have. She's really matured nicely in shape, size and fluff.
