not even a pip. I'm thinking of pipping it myself and seeing if there is anything viable inside. Any advice? 3 of the eggs already hatched (day 19 and day 20) and are in the brooder box. This one and another one haven't done anything yet. (day 22 now I think.)
Too sad everyone...
I pipped both eggs open and didn't see any movement. In fact, there was liquid runny stuff so I opened both eggs up. The small egg had a ~2 week old baby chick in it perfectly formed only tiny...the HUGE egg had 2 tiny chicks, but even less formed and less developed than 2 weeks. Maybe 1 week and a bit more for the bigger one. it had to be a double yolk, but it was all runny when I opened it.
Oh well, lesson learned. If at first you don't succeed; try, try again....if I ever get another huge egg, I'll try again.
Over and out for this time
