one time a woman from my church had a huge abundance of eggs that she and her husband could never eat in a month! her chickens went crazy and started laying like ther ewas no tomorrow. i took some and some were double yolkers, but they didnt look bigger than the other eggs.
it was nuts, but i never got eggs from her again, i cracked one into a cake mix and a dead baby chick that was about half way formed, maybe less, fell out, it was gross, and sad. those were our last eggs from becky.
i cant WAIT to see what happens with your egg!

I'm still waiting to see what happens too- we're ending day 13 now so I'll candle tomorrow night. Til then, I'll be twiddling my thumbs. We need a smiley for that...

Well, "Giant egg" went into the hatcher last night (day 18) and is sitting there teasing me. I saw no movement in it and some light areas around the dark blobs. I don't think anything will hatch, but I'll give it a chance just in case. The other 4 eggs were all dark in the appropriate places, and all had movement; but they are white or tinted eggs from my Silkies and easier to see inside of.
So I'll just wait and see what happens...
will post pics in a few days of anyone who hatches...

I hope your hatch goes well. Our double yolk duck egg is still in bator, they take a bit longer than chicken eggs. The rest of the duck eggs have stopped being turned as of today. The double yolker went in later. If yours is successful, then I may have hope for mine

I know it has been done so I'll be watching for your posts
