I love finding big ones like that when I go out to check for eggs, my kids are always dying to see if it is a double yolker (and all have been so far)

sorry I'm just getting back to this thread...I should stay away from the swaps and auctions...

When its dark out, I can see inside the brown eggs better. I forgot last night! Agh! Busy house!

It won't fit inside a carton at all. I just measured it- 8" around lengthwise (!!!) and 6" around widthwise. Yowee!

Its going in my icubator tonight- no matter how many yolks it has. I'm curious about it now.

well, I couldn't tell for sure how many yolks are in it. Its in the bator now...just hope it stays in the turner and doesn't fall out. Its so big! Maybe I'll be able to tell in 5-7 days how many yolks it has and if any veins start growing in it. This will be interesting at least!

I get a couple of those a week it is always a double yolker! 1 of the 25 barred rock hens I have! I also have somebody eating eggs can't figured out whos doing that either!

I haven't exactly checked them for that...

The poor thing though- there wasn't another one like it yesterday. It probably takes awhile to recover from laying one that big!
