I am looking for aa vet to help my week old chick with a slipped tendon. I live in Swansboro, North Carolina and am looking a vet that will treat/help chickens. Willing to drive to get her help.

Hello and welcome to BYC!

I moved this thread to our Emergency forums for more help. I hope your little one will be ok!

You could try splinting the leg yourself, often this simple fix will straighten up the leg. 93E6AA56-5C9F-4BBC-ADDB-ED4DADABE3A7.jpeg
Welcome to BYC, let us know how it goes

Can you post a picture of the chick standing on a table or floor from the front or back? Slipped tendons are not often successfully treated. I would start some human b complex vitamins and crush 1/4 tablet daily in a little water or food. Here is a good thread that explains how to tell if it is slipped tendon and how to put it in place:

I think you may be right about a slipped tendon. Leg bone deformities are also common. Sometimes the chicks can get along well enough to get enough food and water in a small flock. Very few people have seemed to treat this well. You can try to get the tendon back in place from the link posted above. Here is a link starting at post 12 of a pea chick that was treated:
