There needs to be some kind of reprimand for whomever made the decision to euthanize that dog!! I'd be writing letters to every city official who even MIGHT have something to say about it. Contact the news station, the paper, etc. THEY need to replace her dog. (Not that he was "replaceable", but you know what I mean).

Was he not microchipped? If he was and they euthanized him anyway, that's a great big

I'm so sorry for the loss of her beloved companion!!!

Oh I would for sure contact the news paper or something and let people know this story. That is terrible and someone should get her a new companion right away at no charge!!! If I lived there I would personally go find her one and get her fixed up. I am a dog lover and an elderly person lover and I know how much they love their pets. Does she for sure have to have a pug?? Maybe her helper could go look at the pound or other rescue places and try to find an older dog small dog that needs a good home??? So sad.
