Wahoo.

That means that a week from today, my broody will hatch out the 8 eggs under her.

It's a VERY rainy Saturday morning in Phoenix.
Glad we got all of the lawns mowed at home and at the office yesterday, prior to the deluge.

I've got to take the kids school car down to Discount Tire to put two new tires on.... they "had" to take my Pilot to school choir rehearsal so I could get that done. Wish they opened at 7AM.

Nuclear Chickens will be coming by sometime this AM to pick up some hatching eggs from me and a whole bunch that Laree left here for him. I hope he has a BIG bator.

Easter is comin'.....

So, I'm in a luxurious hotel in Denver, with My eggs and flocks all at the hands of my loving, yet underedumacated poultry staff...already had 3 panic calls about the breeders out at the farm this morning...

I didn't get to candle, so all of my incubators are still overstuffed, and the manually turned eggs will likely not be turned for 4 days until I return. I will attempt to get someone at home to do it, but that's like finding a hen's teeth...so I'm going to say a little prayer now that all the chicks will develop as if conditions were optimal.

I'm going to go get breakfast with a friend and try not to acknowledge the panic in his voice when last we spoke...

If the weather is like yesterday it should be beautiful and sunny today! I think were I live it is supposed to reach 70 degrees today. Hope all your eggs and birds at home survive your absence.

Thanks!! It's nice out so far, and I've got the doors wide open on my 10th floor balcony. Pretty quiet for being downtown!
