Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

WAIT!

Is the crowing roo pic for the bator???

How do MAKE a rooster crow? Mine crow till I walk outside and then they look around like it was someone else.

OMG! The people across the street have like 20 game roos. They're crowing up a storm. Can I take a picture of one of them????? LOL

Neighbor down the street probably has just as many.

Since I don't know my neighbors do you think they'd get peeved?

Any other time mine would be crowing like crazy, but now?? Nope! Even Bling Bling (BLP) is quiet.

No eggs. No Crowing.

Why did I want chickens again?

OH, believe me, I know! I was outside alot today, trying to get a picture of a crowing rooster! I have a gazillion roosters, but not one of them would crow for the camera! NOT one! Darn boys!

Remember, the crowing rooster does NOT have to be your own - it can be a friend's or neighbor's rooster, or an archived photo of a rooster you used to have. It just has to be, for lack of a better term, a rooster we, collectively, kind of "know" to exist in real life, past or current. Nothing snagged off the 'Net from some photography or nature site, etc.

This is my first, knee-jerk reaction, but I think - given the criteria of being a rooster belonging to someone you know - such arrangements should be carried on behind the scenes in PM, perhaps. That way your intended recipient can say, "this is my submission, it is a rooster named [Foghorn Leghorn or whatever] that belongs to [donor] and I have permission to use it."

How does that sound?

gryeyes and Kathy! Thank you both for the suggestions, good stuff

I'm just hatching along for fun and not joining in any of the contests because there isn't one for "the worst participant" and trust me that is me.

I just wanted to help someone out if I could. Thank you both!
