Had 4 hatch out in the past hour, and 3 more peeping like crazy thru their little pip holes. Just be patient folks, if the temp is off even just a little bit, it could delay the hatch for a day.

I was worried about Mahonri's blue egg--It had been zipped for so long, and I didnt want it to dry out in the shell. Major worry for me. So I took it from the bator and hatched it. It seems fine, but has a pea-sized dryish yolk still attached. He's inthe brooder with the 2 Alohas who hatched, peeping up a frickin storm.

We need our own thread. "Mahonri's slow cookers". Thankfully, there is a Dr. Who marathon all day, and Primeval to look forward to tonight. That, mixed with laundry should help keep a part of my mind off the eggs. (a very small part).

I have a confession...
I had 24 shipped eggs, Cochins. I said they were all clears..... I was WRONG! Seeeeee, that is why I do not like to candle. It was early on, when I checked them. Was it day 5 or something? Can't remember. Anyway, I tossed out a few of them (totally by mistake). 6 went into lockdown ..... 5 have hatched!

I have only 2 eggs left in the bator, unhatched and unpipped. Of all that went into lockdown, I hatched:
11 of 12 Marans .... shipped eggs!
5 of 6 Cochins .... shipped eggs!
2 of 2 Icelandics .... my eggs!
