Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

I love the coop! It makes mine look sad.

You can join the CNY hatch now that you have eggs in.

I lost a chick Yesterday. It was acting really strange and I guess it was bad strange. It was one of the Browns and the tamest one. It happens quite often with quail I've heard, so it's nothing new.

All the others are doing great, though!

Wow, I actually got caught up with this thread.

my chicks are soon outgrowing their brooder box. I'm seeing WAY TOO MANY roos!

I hope we can stay 'rainless' for a while and I'll make them a bigger brooder pen on the north lawn.

I had to go back three pages to find this thread! I guess people are getting on with their lives.

Well not me!

Here are updated pics of my chicks. The olive eggers are hiding in this pic. You can't see them!

Everybody is growing fast with the cutest little wing feathers. Shortly after this photo was taken they resumed the task of digging to China through floor of the brooder.

I think I have one roo for sure. Possibly another: that or she is a huge pullet. The fer-shure roo is the one in the corner. Little stinker has a serious comb.

I think I got lucky!!! My chicks are 6 weeks old now and I believe I only see two roos! They are welcome since I only have one for 27 chickens out there now. Poor guy is worn out.

Well geeze Debi if you need an extra you know who to call! I still have extra sussex.

My New Years hatch I still can't tell. But the ones that hatched 2 weeks prior I am thinking I only have 2 roos. Which is good because the one before that was really roo heavy.

Mary just noticed your signature line. When your book is published do BYC members get a signed copy, and do we get a discount?
