Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

I am with Mahonri. I am really sad w/ all the roos I hatched out. Some are too early to tell but with Halo's eggs, I see 4 with some SERIOUS combs and the body stance that just has ROO written all over it. So far, I think the subject of my Cutest Chick Pic is female.

My last hatch, it is suspected that 6 out of 7 are roosters.

This one is not looking too much better. I guess that is the way it works since I cannot have roosters where I live.

Been a little busy around here, I just wanted to check in and say all my 19 chicks are doing good.

Sorry no pics, my camera is done for. I think I'm going to get a good one the next time. Hope all is well with everyone.

The last egg from the second dozen TJs hatched over night. This was from the dozen I bought in a panic when I didn't think the FIRST dozen were developing. One one out of this 12 developed far enough to hatch.

This morning it was sitting in one of the egg carton spots, looking at me. Midnight last night, it was still a pip that had rested in that stage for at least 13 hours.

So, now I have four little whatevers from TJs.

Congrats Linda! Those chicks are so cute! Glad to hear that the one in lockdown hatched!

They looked like Leghorn chicks from your original pictures of them. Probably what they are.
