Oh it's naked on the neck... you're just seeing the neck bowtie and an awkward chicken position. Turkens are also naked on the butts, breasts and under the wings. This one is too.

OM Goodness I'm going crazy. Who's idea was it to do this. My chicks are getting very noisy and trying to get out. I'm watering, feeding, and cleaning like crazy. I can tell the whites from the buffs. I have 7 white and the rest are buff. So that makes 12 buff.

Kathy - wow! I like those hinged door brooders!

I set another 48 eggs last night and I have 48 due this week! I may need to build brooders like yours really quick if these ALL hatch!

I am hoping for a few at least, I have hatched a grand total of 2 (on Jan. 3rd), but I am not giving up until I succeed!

Maybe by Easter I will be a hatching force to reckon with!
