Ok correction....35 eggs in the homemade incubator at 12:04pm. My Octagon is in lockdown ( due to hatch Monday), I will be switching over, the homemade needs too much babysitting.
I have eggstra eggs! If you need eggs and are in western PA....I'll be in Cranberry township today....and other places in Butler county (xmas shopping..running around). I can meet you if you want to take part in the hatch. They are sitting at room temp and ready to set!
FREE.....to good home!
PURE: 4 FBCM, 4 silkie, 2 blue marans
ALSO: 3 EE's and some comet/fbcm mix's.
Plus mixed ducks......they wont hatch new years but they will be cute!
Edited to add, the EE's are blue and green, but a French black copper roo over them....so they should produce olive eggers.
We are about 35 min out from setting our eggs, DH set it up so we can get 38 eggs in! We are holding steady at about 99.3 degrees with a .5 degrees swing and humidity at 28% so far.
hello all, late to the party, that's me. i signed up late. thought it would be a great way to make these 21 days go by a bit faster.
i just set 24 wheaten marans. i am a long time hatchaholic, but this is my first batch of marans. i received them in yesterday's post. they were very cold, but not frozen. i hope they are ok. the batched weighed in as heavy X-Lg and barely fit in the trays. i had to disconnect the auto turner - seemed to be stressing under the weight. so we got off to a late start and now i will have to readjust the temp. but not to worry.
My guess for Mahonri's hatch: 73 chicks, first 2 will be icelandics and the 3rd, blrw.
good luck to everyone. sam
I have 9 Partridge Rocks in the bator. Had to put mine in yesterday because they tend to hatch a day earlier here, and they arrived a day earlier then they were suppose to. Good Luck everyone!!
