I just hatched my first Icelandic grandbaby! Mama is a black Icelandic that I hatched from Mary's eggs. 3 of 4 Icelandic eggs Mary sent me are now pipped! YEEEE HAWWWWW ! ! ! I sure love to hatch!

I'm sooooo happy today!

More good news .... today I got 2 eggs from the Barred Rocks! Yippeeee! they are laying!

The 5 day old Delawares are in a brooder across the room from the Icelandic. They hear her chirping, and they are screaming their lungs out in reply to her! LOUD!!! I warmed up a washcloth in the microwave, and the baby is now happy in end of the roll.

Babies soooo wanna have a mama to crawl up under, don't they?!
