Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

First timer?

Nope, just a little retarded

Truthfully I have hatched out one bunch of eggs. I kind of get it but don't trust myself completely and tend to just stick them all back in the incubator because I don't trust my judgement.
And this hatch, most of the eggs I had shipped to me were busted up in transit - so I am desperately hoping these hatch - and desperately afraid they won't. Almost like I am afraid to check them and find out they are all scrambled.

Better to find out now than when one explodes.....

I'm looking foward to it. I have this recurring nightmare that all 54 will hatch. If so my Wife will kill me.

My dream would be that they all hatch. I desperately want light sussex. What do you have in your incubator? And what are you most hoping for? I guess that question goes out to everyone - WHAT ARE YOU MOST HOPING FOR?

Light Sussex are really nice , I sure hope some make it for you .

What I'm most wanting are the crosses between CX [ Cornish meat hybrids ] with Ameraucana and EE pullets ; I think it more likely the Ameraucana over CX pullets will hatch though .

I have Silkies, Frizzles, Olive Eggers, Phoenixs, One SLW, Some of Bob's Mixes and one Buff Orphington White leghorn mix of my own that was laid the morning of set. Most hoping for a few hens of each.

oh yes, I remember reading that you were off to purchase a couple of cornish roosters. Did you get them? And thanks for the positive thoughts. I have my fingers (and eyes) crossed.

I will hope for hens for you! What are Bob's mixes. I guess I should already know who Bob is but...

Bob's Henhouse gave me some big Ostrich looking eggs. I don't care what mix they are as long as they lay eggs that big. Doc says I should cut down on the number of eggs I eat a week. This is my way of getting around that. LOL
