BlueBirdChick,

of course you are still in....no matter what!

Even if you have one egg left it still counts, even if you have none left it still counts. You started with us so you get to finish with us. I can't candle my eggs at all (quail eggs) so for all I know I am incubating a bunch of rotten infertile eggs.

I ran it once in Nov and kinda figured those things out . Also : Removing a bunch of clears at lockdown will make it more difficult to restabilize temps ; When the element kicks on , warm air vents out , drawing in cool air , and actually dropping the temps at center egg level for that part of the cycle ; The extreem outer edges and corners run way too cool . I have a fan to add , but waiting untill after this hatch to experiment with it .

Didn't you say this was your first time.............I see...............you lied.

Mahonri............I was born and raised in Auburn. (not too many of us originals left anymore) I now live a bit up the hill in Colfax.

Bluebird.........everyone makes mistakes. Of course you are still with us.

Well we finally had a chance to candle our eggs tonight. Out of 38 eggs we have 17 Blue Andalusian eggs showing good veining and movement(although 1 is a bit questionable).

We removed:

13 Partridge Bantam Cochin eggs-not sure the boys are doing their job
2 Welsummer eggs-the boys are only around 4 months old so we aren't to surprised
6 Blue Andalsuain eggs-this is a pair that was set up separately so we could get two different lines going-probably will have to do a few more test hatches with this group!
